Fantastic afternoon tea taken here. Wonderful (and seemingly never ending supply) of sandwiches, cakes, scones and a wide range of teas and coffees to choose from. All well presented as you would expect from an establishment of this calibre, along with discrete and attentive service. Incredibly surroundings in the former post office building. A complemented by a harpist. Perfect.

Great location near a lot of shops and the central business district. The hotel is the old post office so it looks really nice from the outside. The inside atrium was also very impressive with lots of natural light coming in from the glass ceiling. The atrium felt very roomy and what you would expect from a 5 star hotel. The rooms with the balcony was also nicely done with ample room and nice furnishing. This is a place I recommend to my friends who likes to be in a central location in Singapore. The hotel is within walking distance from Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and the Merlion. The accommodation might look expensive but the location and service makes it a good value. The facilities are top notch as well.

A wonderful hotel at the best location downtown! We booked a room with a great view overlooking the bay. You can watch the sun rise from the balcony with the Sands as the backdrop, if you don’t mind to wake up early. Many hot spots are within walking distance, the city hall, garden by the bay, biotics dooms, the casino, the satay bazaar, China town, the quay… to name a few. That also means that there’s no shortage of street foods, restaurants and bars around. This historical building itself is a point of interest by itself. Remember to have a high-tea at the courtyard to feel the colonial vibe, totally worth it. (Of course, it’s still no match to the Raffles) However, the decorations of the lobby can’t justify it’s beauty. Service is no doubt top notch, there are always helpful staffs with friendly smile waiting to serve you right. And comparing the room rates to other five star hotels, it’s a steal!

We visited for high tea and were warmly welcomed. The afternoon tea was delicious with additional choice of scones and unlimited drinks. There was a harpist to entertain visitors. The staff made a fuss over us and asked us about our visit and informed us about the hotel and the city.
