   We had lunch at Raku for my husband’s birthday. We both lived in Japan for thee years, and I can honestly say I have never had a better meal. The tasting menu is a culinary dream and we were transported to heaven eating. The service was as superb as the food. We cannot recommend Raku highly enough. It is a joy.

   Sensational experience all round. Food was exquisite, ably assisted by our knowledgeable young waiter. Loved the scallops and the eggplant especially. Wine list is good and also enthusiastic wine waiter. Excellent food, attentive service. Highly recommended!

   Amazing food and service. We had a huge selection of dishes and they were all fantastic. The cocktail recommendations were also perfect for us! The staff were friendly and polite.

   Second ever restaurant review ever. Just couldn’t come home without giving this place a 5 star review. Customer service was above and beyond, the food was authentic, delicious and also great value for money in my opinion. I would go back to this restaurant every time I went back to Canberra. Outstanding Raku!

   This restaurant is A1, staff take pride in their work, we booked 2 weeks ahead, we were seated at the bar, 3 staff preparing meals in front of us with 3 different styles , each unique. We chose the $80 per person mixture and the 5 different sakes to match ,the waiter knows his field, explanations of which one to consume with which dish. When every dish is served a commentary from the waitress or waiter on the foid presented, ingredients,flavour and taste. The NZ scallop was far superior to the Australian scallop, double the size with a meatier taste, sorry about that being an Aussie .We were served by 5 different waitresses/waiters all pleasantly. From our position I observed the chefs cooking on hot coals and a chef teaching and apprentice the manner in which to carve tuna. They really take care.The service was swift but not pushy. If you are seated at a table away from the action, you may have had a different experience i cannot comment on that. Ordering a particular meal may take a bit of time that’s why we chose the mixture, anyway the food was excellent, sake just as good . A totally professional establishment. We will make it a must do on our next visit to the great Capital .
