   Aug 2019. I always liked Jack’s place. I dined here in different phases of my life. Today the experience was not really a pleasant one.
   The manager decided to delay seating us despite having many empty tables around.
   We ordered our sets, but it took them so time to inform us certain dishes were not available.
   The sets and add-ons were confusing and the bill was a mess.
   The chain had a refreshing look, renovated and brighter. I liked the change but at the same time, i missed the cottage, checkered-green deco.

   Food not bad. I was surprised that they are serving local cuisine such as hor fun. The staff were friendly despite being busy during peak hours. I strongly recommend the place.

   Average price of the main course is about 20 – 30. Service standard, average. Taste, barely passable. Ambience, family restaurant feels. Much better options around the area for the same price range.

   I have my dinner at Jack’s Place at Bras Basah Complex today. The manger’s service is very good. After taken our order, seems like from our look, he knows that we want warm water instead of cold water. And yes, we want warm water. He will walk around the restaurant to check at every table as to ensure we will not wait too long for our next dish. The songs played in the restaurant is lively and we felt happy to enjoy our dinner.

   Best NZ steak at affordable price. Went during promotion. $12 for 180g of NZ steak served on sizzling hot plate. Value for money.
