Well plated dishes, good decors and accessories used. Great taste, worthy of 1 Michelin star indeed. Food was the main focus here, not the ambience which was a fantastic experience. Expect a lot of ingredients / cheese from Devon which is where Chef came from. I will be back.

Let’s start with the with the great view of Singapore. It’s high up and nothing blocks your view of the city. I also think only large groups have tables that is not next to the window, and then it probably won’t matter to much. The servers where friendly, and the place had a nice atmosphere
The food was great and varied to fit the season. And there where a few dishes for Kirk Westaway to show his heritage, but most of the dishes used components brought from UK. He also had a few signature dishes like egg in egg.
I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and the sommelier had a great selection of wines and a few gems.

Service n food was very good. Wonderful view. Only setback restroom is not convenient. One has to walk down 2 flight of stairs n signage to restroom is not clear.

    JAAN was magnificent!

Renée and I got engaged earlier in the day and celebrated with our closest friends at JAAN. The team made our special day even more outstanding 🙂

They were warm, welcoming and made sure that not only were we looked after, but the night was memorable.

The food is exceptional! “Eggs in and egg” was an absolute standout. Each dish was prepared with love and presented beautifully.

The broths! I’m not sure I can describe them…you can taste the attention to detail in every sip and every carefully (perfectly) made broth.

…finally the view. Perched on top of Stamford plaza. Gorgeous!

My partner and I came here to celebrate our anniversary as well as me starting a new stage in my life, but this place didn’t bring any joy to our special day. Out of the five-course lunch, only the poached snapper and the pre-dessert were passable. The cold dish “summer beans” tasted really weird as the ingredients didn’t complement each other. The signature dish “eggs in an egg” disappointed me as well and the rest dishes didn’t impress neither. Overall, there was no surprise in the food, presentation and service.

On a side note, the reservation system was redundant. After making an online reservation, customer needed to confirm twice via email.

For this price range, customers really expect innovation in the cuisine itself, not just the fancy presentation (which was like a show). I could well spent this lovely Saturday at other better places, with more genuine and customized service of course.
